We all know that after the first few picks, the NBA draft becomes one of the most boring things to watch on television. Though the 2012 NBA draft is said to be deep there just wasn’t any big star players. The NBA draft is still on but most of the suspicion and hype is gone, no big trades, just drafting. No surprise that Anthony Davis went number one to the Hornets then after that the dominos started falling into place. Kidd Gilchirst went second to the Bobcats, then Beal to the Wizards. My favorite pick from the top ten goes to the Kings drafting Kansas forward, Thomas Robinson. No not because I have him being the best player out of the whole draft but because of the havoc he and Cousins can cause down low. Along side Thorton and Tyreke Evans, a nice youth movement going on in Sacramento. Much was said about Duke guard Austin Rivers and his draft value, he eventually went 10th overall to the Hornets. If the Hornets can re-sign Eric Gordon they will have a loaded team, no doubt about it!
As for my beloved Celtics…I LOVE their picks. With 21 and 22 the Celtics went big and drafted Jared Sullinger and Fab Melo. A power forward and center, more than likely assuring the future bigs for the lineup. A lineup with a developed Fab Melo and Sullinger to play along side Avery Bradley and Rondo, Pierce on his last bit and coached by Doc!? Amazing talent right there!
Quick update: Baylor Forward, as of now, STILL HASN’T BEEN DRAFTED! Screw the injury he’s a steal at this point and a top ten talent. What the hell are these teams waiting for!?!
